Cookies, among other things, speed navigation though our site, keep track of information so that you do not have to re-enter it each time you visit our site, and may provide you with customized content about the Firm. A cookie is an Internet mechanism composed of a small text file containing a unique identification number that permits a web server to send small pieces of information or text by means of your browser and place them on your computer’s hard drive for storage. This text lets the web server know if you have previously visited the web page. Cookies by themselves cannot be used to find out the identity of any user. We use cookies to collect and maintain aggregated data (such as number of visitors) to help us see which areas of our Site are most popular with our users and improve and update the content on our Site. While in the process of browsing our site, you also provide us with information that doesn’t reveal your personal identity — only what type of destination you’re exploring, for example. We use this aggregated data only as explained in this Policy. We do not connect aggregated data to any name, address, or other identifying information. You may occasionally receive cookies from unaffiliated companies or organizations, to the extent that they place advertising on our site or are linked to the site. These third-party cookies may collect information about you when you click on their advertising or content or link. This practice is standard in the Internet industry. Because of the way in which the Internet operates, we cannot control collection of this information by these third parties, and these cookies are not subject to this Policy.

The Firm uses the information collected from you (as described above) to improve your browsing experience of our Site, to personalize your experience, to send you newsletters and client alerts, and to comply with legal obligations.

The Firm may share your information if we reasonable believe that we are required to do so under applicable law, such as a subpoena or other lawful court order.  However, the Firm will not rent or sell your personal data with unaffiliated third parties for marketing purposes.  The Firm may share personal data with the following third parties:

  • Firm vendors that provide services to us wherein said service providers otherwise conform to this Policy; and

The Site is operated in the United States, and any information collected through the Site is stored in the United States.  If you are located outside of the United States, the laws of the United States may not protect your personal data to the same extent that the laws of your country of residence provide.  By using the Site and providing us your personal data, you consent to the disclosure, collection, and use of your data as outlined in this Policy.  Any processing of your personal data shall be in accordance with this Policy.

The Firm will keep your personal information until such a time that we no longer expect to need to use it for any legal and legitimate purpose and otherwise in accordance with all applicable laws. At the appropriate time, we will take reasonable steps to destroy your personal information or ensure that your personal information is de-identified, except where we need to retain such information to satisfy legal and professional ethical obligations.
